It allows the Na’vi to connect, communicate and interact directly with Eywa, the sentient life force of the planet Pandora . The Way of Water , meanwhile, shows the Spirit Tree, the underwater version from the aquatic Metkayina tribe. It functions similarly to the Forest Na’vi’s Tree of Souls but allows certain Na’vi to manipulate the aquatic life around it, connecting them to the very ecosystem they inhabit. Frontiers of Pandora could further explore this concept by including more Spirit Trees that connect to different environments, allowing for new connections and abilities linked to the pla

The trailer reveals that the story campaign has the option for a single-player story experience or an online multiplayer adventure with your friend. This is narrated over a clip of two Na’vi characters flying together on ikrans by the Hallelujah Mounta

Admittedly, information on the player character is a bit vague. Her name has not been revealed, but everything shown so far has indicated the player character to be a female Na’vi who appears to be a capable figh

That said, if Frontiers of Pandora is anything to go by, the RDA did not take defeat well. Fifteen years later, it appears they’re back in full force, probably wanting payback after the events of the movie. From the looks of things, they’ve even expanded their operations on Pandora. The player will naturally learn how to fight the RDA and their machines, being able to lay waste on everything from mech suits to helicopt

Some of the new biomes introduced were an overgrown cavernous mangrove area, the radiant bioluminescent Kinglor Forest, the lush red and green grasslands of the Upper Plains, and the misty Clouded Forest densely populated with flora and fauna. While venturing with the Aranahe clan, players will be given the opportunity to bond with the flying Banshees , much like Jake in the first Avatar film. While on land with the Zeswa clan, players will be able to bond with the Zakru, giving them a fast way of traveling both in the skies and on l

All these new areas open up opportunities to meet new Na’vi Clans to strike alliances with. The trailer reveals three already, along with the area in which they reside. First is the Aranahe Clan that dwells in the Kinglor Forest, who are peaceful weavers that teach you survival skills and how to ride an ik

While Pandora is home to many plants and animals, the primary inhabitants of the planet are the Na’vi people. The Na’vi are spread out throughout the planet in several clans , and players will be coming into contact with several brand-new clans in the game. While running around the forests, we encountered beneficial and detrimental flora. There were green plants that would explode if we got too close, plants that would shock us, plants that would block our path until we completed a puzzle, plants that gave us a speed boost, plants that launched us into the air, plants that would drop climbing points for us, and much, much more. And again, this was in a very small taste of what Avatar has to offer. Our favorite plant proved to be just about everywhere, and it was always a collection of plants that would shrink as we ran through and make a satisfying, whimsy “ploop” sound. It didn’t do anything else, but it was enough to get a laugh plenty of ti

Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora’s Collector’s Edition includes a Premium Steelbook with a physical copy of the game alongside all of the aforementioned digital content seen in the Ultimate Edition. It also comes with several additional physical bonuses, including 3 lithographs showcasing three of Pandora’s impressive and distinct landscapes, a Resistance field notebook, an A2-sized AMP suit blueprint, a 120-page artbook, and a Na’vi statue, alongside a premium certificate of authentic

Of course, this detail has led to a lot of ridicule, but it is something the game seems to be taking full advantage of. Part of the player character’s journey will involve learning to ride different types of animals, a bit like the override mechanic in the Horizon games. Other creatures can be hunted with a bow-and-arrow and there are allusions to bigger and more dangerous new creatures you can try to kill.
